The client
Pas Normal Studios is a Copenhagen-based cycling brand known for its uncompromising approach to performance, quality, and aesthetics. With a strong identity rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, the brand has redefined modern cycling culture by blending technical innovation with fashion-forward design.
The brief
Refine and develop the existing retail concept for the Pas Normal Studios flagship store in Taipei. The brief focused on building upon the established PNS design language, while adapting and introducing new elements to enhance the spatial experience within an existing store context. A balance between functionality, storytelling, and commercial strategy remained essential.
The output
The updated space introduces a refined spatial experience shaped by adjustments to layout, materiality, and display elements. Selected bespoke furniture pieces from the PNS Shanghai project (also designed by Narrow) are carried forward, creating continuity across locations, while new elements are integrated to respond to the existing store and its context. The design balances the warmth of oak with the precision of minimalist black steel, maintaining a contemporary expression. The concept continues to support community engagement through curated displays and a cohesive brand environment.
